Ice Maker Not Working
Water inlet valve failure is the most common cause on GE refrigerators. On French Door models the ice maker module, thermistor, or auger motor may also be at fault. We test the water supply, valve, and module in sequence.
Fridge Warming Up
Defrost heater, defrost thermostat, or defrost control failure. If the freezer is cold but the fridge is warm, we check the evaporator fan motor and damper first — frost blockage from a defrost failure is the typical cause.
Water Dispenser Not Working
Water inlet valve, filter bypass, water line freeze (in the door), or dispenser control board. GE French Door models are prone to a frozen water line in the door on very cold settings.
Freezer Cold but Fridge Warm
Classic defrost system failure with frost buildup blocking the evaporator. We defrost the evaporator coil manually, identify the failed component (heater, thermostat, or board), and replace it.
